HR Advisor – Employee Relations & Change Management

About the role

WellGear Group is seeking an HR Advisor to join its Aberdeen office. The role will provide strategic HR leadership across the employee lifecycle, supporting business objectives in a safety-critical oil and gas environment. You will partner with senior leaders to drive employee engagement, talent management and organisational change.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and align HR strategies with business goals, including organisational design and succession planning.
• Lead employee relations cases such as disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence, performance and redundancy matters.
• Provide expert guidance on UK employment law and manage employment-related risk.
• Drive change initiatives, support restructuring projects and coach leaders through transitions.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, GDPR and internal policies.
• Maintain HR governance, reporting and continuous improvement of HR processes.
• Support day-to-day HR administration, including contracts, records and onboarding.

Required profile

• CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent professional experience.
• Degree-level education or comparable experience.
• Significant HR experience with strong expertise in employee relations and UK employment law.
• Proven ability to advise senior leaders and manage organisational change.
• Experience within the energy, oil & gas, engineering or offshore sectors is desirable.
