HR Advisor – Employee Relations (Chester)

About the role

We are seeking an HR Advisor with strong Employee Relations expertise to join a fast‑paced, commercially driven business in Chester. You will act as a trusted partner to managers, handling complex people matters and ensuring compliance with UK employment law.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied ER caseload covering absence, conduct, capability and investigations.
• Provide pragmatic HR advice to managers at all levels.
• Lead and support hearings, appeals, investigations and suspensions.
• Produce clear HR documentation and reports while meeting tight SLAs.
• Ensure all actions align with UK employment legislation, internal policy and best practice.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing end‑to‑end ER cases.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of UK employment law.
• Confident communicator able to influence and challenge.
• Comfortable working in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.
• Commercially minded with a solutions‑focused approach.
