HR Advisor – Employee Relations & Development

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join a collaborative, people‑focused business in Bicester. In this hands‑on role you will act as a trusted partner to managers and employees, supporting the full employee lifecycle and helping to shape an inclusive, high‑performing culture.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical HR advice on employee relations, absence, disciplinary, grievance and performance matters.
• Conduct investigations and ensure fair, consistent outcomes.
• Advise on family‑friendly policies, flexible working requests and employment legislation.
• Support recruitment activities, including job description creation, interview coordination and onboarding.
• Manage onboarding, contractual changes and off‑boarding to ensure a positive employee experience.
• Assist managers with probation reviews, development plans and performance management.
• Coordinate training, development and employee engagement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate HR records in line with GDPR and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HR professional, preferably covering employee relations, recruitment and performance management.
• Ability to build strong, trusted relationships across the business.
• Confident, proactive and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and a commitment to delivering a first‑class employee experience.
