HR Advisor – Employee Relations (Leeds)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated HR Advisor to join the HR team at Leeds College of Building. You will support the College’s people function, focusing on employee relations and delivering a high‑quality HR service that aligns with our People Strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage employee relations issues and provide timely advice to managers.
• Support the delivery of the College’s People Strategy.
• Work closely with line managers to ensure consistent HR practices.
• Handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.

Required profile

• Previous HR advisory or employee relations experience.
• Level 5 CIPD qualification or working towards accreditation.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Excellent organisational abilities and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Professional approach to confidential and complex issues.
