About the role
Join Forestry England as an HR Advisor, providing first‑line HR support to managers across England. You’ll act as a trusted advisor, helping improve people‑management capability while supporting a flexible, blended working environment.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR contact for managers, offering advice and guidance on people matters.
- Manage HR casework and support the development of people‑management capability.
- Provide HR services to teams across England, requiring regular travel and occasional overnight stays.
- Support blended working arrangements, balancing office presence with remote work as agreed with line managers.
Required profile
- Experience working within HR, preferably in a public‑sector or large‑organisation setting.
- Willingness to travel across South and East districts, the National Office in Bristol, and other sites.
- Ability to work flexibly under informal blended‑working arrangements.

What we offer
- Fixed‑term contract for 18 months, £33,854 annual salary.
- 37‑hour work week with hybrid (onsite/remote) working options.
- Pension contribution of 28.97% via the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension Scheme.
