HR Advisor

About the role

Barker Associates is seeking an HR Advisor to support its growing HR team. Based in our Braintree office, you will work closely with multi‑disciplinary project teams, providing day‑to‑day HR advice and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide HR guidance to managers and employees across the business.
• Produce HR reports and develop new in‑house processes on the HRIS.
• Administer the company ATS system and support the recruitment lifecycle.
• Maintain up‑to‑date employment contracts and oversee induction/onboarding.
• Assist with HR projects such as engagement, wellbeing, and D&I initiatives.
• Ensure employee records comply with GDPR and internal confidentiality policies.

Required profile

• Working towards or completed CIPD Level 3.
• Previous experience in an office‑based HR role.
• Experience supporting recruitment across the employee lifecycle.
• Some exposure to employee‑relations matters, with guidance as needed.

Required skills

• HRIS administration.
• Applicant Tracking System (ATS) usage.
• Knowledge of GDPR requirements for employee data.
