HR Advisor

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established, growing organisation to hire an experienced HR Advisor for their proactive People team in Bury. Working closely with an HR leader, you will provide practical, day‑to‑day advice across the employee lifecycle in a fast‑paced operational setting.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver HR advice on employee relations, recruitment, performance management and development.
• Manage employee‑relations cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, investigations and absence.
• Support managers with short‑ and long‑term absence processes.
• Oversee recruitment from approval through onboarding and induction.
• Coach managers to build confidence in people processes.
• Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and HR projects.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
• Assist with policy reviews and ensure compliance with employment legislation.

Required profile

• Approachable and commercially aware, comfortable working with managers at all levels.
• Strong employee‑relations experience and solid knowledge of employment law.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification or progressing towards it.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to influence and challenge constructively.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.
