HR Advisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join a well‑established HR team in Liverpool. The role focuses on employee relations, providing practical, commercially‑aware advice to managers and supporting a high‑quality HR advisory service across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day HR advice on employee relations matters such as absence, disciplinary, grievance, capability and suspension cases.
• Manage a varied employee‑relations caseload from initiation to resolution, ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation.
• Support managers through formal HR processes, prepare documentation and maintain accurate case records.
• Liaise with Occupational Health providers and assist with wellbeing‑related cases.
• Assist with Employment Tribunal administration, including preparation of required documents.
• Collaborate with the wider HR team to deliver excellent service and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an HR Advisor or HR Generalist with a strong focus on employee relations.
• Proven ability to manage a varied ER caseload independently.
• Solid understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Excellent communication, relationship‑building and influencing skills.
• Strong organisational abilities and capacity to juggle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
