HR Advisor (Part‑Time) – Birmingham

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join a dynamic team in Birmingham on a part‑time, hybrid basis. The role involves providing comprehensive HR advice across the employee lifecycle, supporting managers, and ensuring HR practices are compliant and aligned with business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide HR guidance to managers on employee relations issues such as absence, performance, conduct and workplace concerns.
• Coach managers to apply policies consistently while ensuring compliance with employment law and best practice.
• Manage recruitment and onboarding activities, from job description creation and candidate screening to induction and retention support.
• Support payroll, benefits administration, HR systems, reporting and maintain accurate employee records.
• Assist with organisational change projects, performance management initiatives and broader HR projects.
• Review, update and communicate HR policies and procedures, delivering guidance and training where required.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and use HR data and insights to support decision‑making and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven HR advisory experience with strong employee‑relations knowledge.
• Sound understanding of employment law and ability to apply it in practice.
• Experience using HR systems and reporting tools.
• Excellent stakeholder‑management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• CIPD qualification desirable.
