HR Advisor – Provide Expert HR & Employment Law Support

About the role

We are seeking an HR Advisor to join our friendly team in Salisbury. You will provide clear, accurate HR and employment‑law advice to a portfolio of small‑business clients, handling everything from recruitment to disciplinary matters.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver telephone and email advice on HR and employment law issues, responding to client queries the same day.
• Maintain detailed case notes using the Dynamics case‑management system.
• Administer the BreatheHR platform on behalf of clients and prepare employment documentation such as contracts, handbooks and offer letters.
• Carry out routine HR administration tasks and identify opportunities for additional services like training or recruitment support.
• Keep up‑to‑date with developments in UK employment law and attend relevant seminars.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an HR advisory or generalist role.
• Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and practical ER casework.
• Confident communicator, comfortable advising business owners by phone and email.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and able to provide pragmatic advice.
• Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
• CIPD qualification (or working towards) is advantageous.
