HR Advisor – Temporary (Leeds)

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑known charity in Leeds to find an experienced HR Advisor for an ongoing temporary assignment. The role is full‑time, office‑based for the first three months and may transition to a permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Provide employee‑relations advice and guidance to line managers and staff.
• Maintain positive trade‑union relationships and act as an HR ambassador across the business.
• Ensure compliance with employment law, internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support the development and implementation of employee‑lifecycle policies.
• Use management information to identify root causes of issues and design targeted interventions.
• Collaborate with People Partners on change‑management initiatives and future‑focused workforce planning.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience as an HR Advisor.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification.
• Proven ability to coach and train managers on employee‑relations matters.
• Strong knowledge of current HR legislation and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail.
• Access to a car and a valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the full Microsoft Office suite.
