HR and Payroll Administrator

About the role

This full‑time position provides administrative support to the HR, Payroll and Training team at a growing company in Sherburn in Elmet, West Yorkshire. The role is office‑based, Monday to Friday 8:30 am‑5:30 pm, with occasional Saturday and late‑evening rota work paid in addition to the basic salary.

Key responsibilities

• Collate daily working hours and verify them using the company vehicle‑tracker software.
• Enter data accurately and assist with the weekly payroll for 90‑200 employees, depending on season.
• Process subcontractor invoices and maintain related records.
• Conduct staff inductions, schedule and organise training sessions, and renew card applications while updating training certificates.
• Record holidays, draft disciplinary letters, and support recruitment activities.
• Maintain personnel spreadsheets, folders and online filing systems.
• Process expense claims and carry out driving‑licence checks.

Required profile

• Strong administrative abilities with a can‑do attitude.
• Excellent teamwork ethic and capacity to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• High attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Genuine interest in HR and payroll processes.

Required skills

• IT skills (proficiency with standard office software and data‑entry tools).
