HR Assistant – Digital & AI (Up to £35k)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic HR Assistant to join a fast‑growing, tech‑first consultancy in London. This role blends traditional HR duties with the implementation of an AI‑enabled HR platform, giving you the chance to shape modern, data‑driven people processes from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end onboarding and off‑boarding, including ID checks and payroll coordination.
• Maintain and improve HR trackers to support scalability.
• Assist with the rollout and data quality of the AI‑enabled HR system.
• Handle employee data in line with GDPR requirements.
• Serve as the first point of contact for payroll, benefits and HR queries.
• Track compliance activities such as annual GDPR training.
• Conduct external reference checks and employment verifications.
• Provide operational support to admissions, finance and internal events as needed.

• Detail‑oriented, organised and proactive.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with a passion for process design.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, scaling environment.
• Eager to learn about technology, data and AI in HR.
• Effective communicator who can collaborate across teams.
