HR Business Partner – 9‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

Oakleaf Partnership is partnering with a fast‑growing, private‑equity backed financial services business to hire an experienced HR Business Partner on a nine‑month fixed‑term contract. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will act as a trusted adviser across the full employee lifecycle, supporting senior leaders in a client‑facing division.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to deliver commercially focused HR support aligned to business objectives.
• Build trusted relationships, coach and influence managers on a broad range of people matters.
• Lead complex employee‑relations cases, providing pragmatic, solutions‑focused advice.
• Drive performance‑management processes and support the development of high‑performing teams.
• Support organisational design, talent and succession‑planning initiatives.
• Review, develop and implement HR policies and people processes.
• Contribute to wider people projects, organisational change initiatives and continuous improvement across the HR function.

Required profile

• Proven HR Business Partner experience in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong employee‑relations expertise.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and influence managers and senior leaders.
• Track record of delivering people initiatives that support business objectives.
• Commercially minded, pragmatic approach with confidence to challenge constructively.
• Experience in financial services or another regulated environment is highly advantageous.

• Salary circa £80,000 per year.
• Hybrid working – three days per week in the office.
