HR Business Partner

About the role

We are partnering with a forward‑thinking healthcare organisation that is investing heavily in its people and services. As an HR Business Partner you will work directly with the Managing Director to shape workforce strategy across a multi‑site operation in Lothian, Fife and Tayside.

Key responsibilities

• Partner closely with the Managing Director to develop and deliver the people strategy.
• Lead workforce planning initiatives to improve staffing models, reduce reliance on agency staff and optimise labour costs.
• Support managers on employee‑relations matters, including performance, conduct, absence and organisational change.
• Drive learning, development and succession planning to build capability across the business.
• Use people data and HR metrics to identify trends, inform decision‑making and influence business strategy.
• Champion employee engagement, retention and a positive workplace culture.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor.
• Experience supporting multi‑site operations, ideally in a fast‑paced, customer‑facing environment such as healthcare, retail or FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and confidence managing complex employee‑relations cases independently.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to interpret workforce and financial data.
• Excellent stakeholder‑management skills and the confidence to influence senior leaders.
• CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 qualification (or equivalent experience) is desirable.
• Willingness to travel regularly across sites in Lothian, Fife, Glasgow and Tayside.
