HR Manager – Manufacturing Site Leadership

About the role

Acorn by Synergie is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join the leadership team of a global manufacturing site in South Molton. You will shape people strategy, drive employee engagement and support operational leaders in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with site leadership to deliver strategic and operational HR support.
• Lead, coach and develop the on‑site HR team.
• Drive employee engagement, performance management and organisational development initiatives.
• Manage complex employee‑relations cases and provide expert advice to managers.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding and talent acquisition to attract skilled staff.
• Support succession planning, workforce planning and capability development.
• Administer compensation, benefits and performance‑review processes.
• Ensure compliance with UK employment law, HR policies and best practice.
• Promote a positive, inclusive and high‑performing workplace culture.
• Support health, wellbeing and occupational health initiatives.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an HR Manager within a manufacturing environment (essential).
• Strong generalist HR experience supporting operational and manufacturing leaders.
• Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Proven employee‑relations, coaching and stakeholder‑management experience.
• Experience leading, mentoring and developing HR teams.
• Degree in Human Resources or equivalent qualification (CIPD desirable).
