HR Operations Manager – Group Level

About the role

This senior HR Operations role sits at Group level within a fast‑growing, private‑equity backed engineering organisation. Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the CHRO and Executive Team, you will shape and deliver the people agenda across all corporate functions.

Key responsibilities

• Act as strategic HR partner to Group corporate functions, building trusted relationships with senior leaders.
• Lead workforce planning, organisational design, capability development and succession activities.
• Provide proactive insight on people data, trends and risks to inform leadership decisions.
• Oversee the HR Executive & HR Operations team, ensuring high‑quality service delivery.
• Own the Group Reward & Benefits portfolio, managing pensions, healthcare, life assurance and annual pay/bonus cycles.
• Provide second‑line oversight of complex, high‑risk employee relations cases, including TUPE and restructures.
• Lead HR due diligence for M&A activity and act as project lead for transformation workstreams.
• Maintain Group HR policies, governance and statutory reporting, including Gender Pay Gap reporting.

Required profile

• Extensive employment law expertise with experience handling high‑risk ER cases.
• Proven track record of leading Reward & Benefits at Group level.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver HR workstreams within transformation or integration programmes.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills at ExCo and Board level.
• CIPD Level 7 or equivalent senior HR experience (essential).
• Resilient, commercially astute and comfortable in a fast‑paced, PE‑backed environment.
