HR & Payroll Officer

About the role

Our client, a well‑established, values‑driven business in Farnham, is seeking an HR & Payroll Officer to deliver a focused service to customers across multiple sites. This permanent, office‑based role offers the chance to contribute to positive change projects within a growing HR team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment administration, from advertising vacancies to onboarding new starters.
• Assist with payroll preparation, including processing pensions, new starter and leaver information.
• Produce payroll reports and respond to employee queries.
• Support employee relations cases and maintain accurate records in line with company policies.
• Maintain HR systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across the business.
• Promote clear and positive communication throughout all business areas.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an HR and payroll support role.
• Familiarity with HR and payroll systems covering starters, leavers, contractual changes and absence management.
• Understanding of HR administration, employment legislation and company policies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build internal relationships.
• Organised, methodical approach with high attention to detail.
• CIPD Level 3 qualification.
