HR Specialist

About the role

McCain is looking for an HR Specialist to join its Scarborough Manufacturing Plant. This hybrid role combines three days on‑site presence with flexible working, allowing you to build strong relationships with employees while supporting the business’s ambitious growth plans.

Key responsibilities

• Provide employee and labour relations support, including investigations, appeals, disciplinary actions and terminations.
• Lead local recruitment initiatives: manage job requisitions in SuccessFactors, run job fairs, source candidates and maintain talent pools, with a focus on early talent.
• Oversee employee movement, contract administration and personal data updates.
• Ensure HR compliance such as right‑to‑work checks, GDPR data storage and audit requirements.
• Analyse HR metrics and share insights with stakeholders to improve service delivery.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement projects for HR processes.

Required profile

• Experience as an HR generalist, preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Professional HR qualification (e.g., CIPD).
• Strong understanding of employee relations, recruitment and HR compliance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with people leaders and global HR teams.
