HR Systems, Data & Operations Manager

About the role

We are seeking a HR Systems, Data & Operations Manager to lead HR systems, people data and operational excellence for a fast‑growing engineering business. Reporting to the HR Director, you will ensure HR technology is fit for purpose, data is accurate and insightful, and core people processes run efficiently and compliantly.

Key responsibilities

• Own and optimise the HRIS, driving enhancements, upgrades and future‑roadmap projects.
• Maintain data integrity, governance and GDPR compliance across all people data.
• Develop and deliver people analytics, dashboards and management reporting to support data‑driven decisions.
• Oversee end‑to‑end employee lifecycle processes, improving consistency, efficiency and best practice.
• Manage relationships with outsourced payroll providers and partner with Finance on payroll reconciliation and controls.
• Administer employee benefits programmes, including pensions and healthcare.
• Build strong partnerships across HR, Finance and the wider business to align systems, data and reporting requirements.
• Support wider transformation programmes and strategic people initiatives.
