About the role
This permanent position is based at a specialist manufacturing site in Houghton Le Spring. The HSE Manager will own the health, safety and environmental programme, ensuring compliance with UK legislation while driving continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and improve site EHS systems, processes and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health and safety legislation.
- Oversee site‑wide EHS processes and drive adherence to UK regulations.
- Support the development of safe, effective and environmentally responsible working practices.
Required profile
- HSE or EHS manager with a Chemical Engineering or Environmental Science background.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Able to commute to Houghton Le Spring.
Required skills
- NEBOSH certification.
- IOSH membership.
- Strong knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental legislation.
