HSQE Manager – Health, Safety, Quality & Environment

About the role

Our client, a leading cleaning services provider with a £15m turnover, is seeking an HSQE Manager to lead health, safety, quality and environmental initiatives across its multi‑site contracts in southern England. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will champion continuous improvement and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create and deliver toolbox training and health, safety, environmental and quality programmes.
• Maintain CHAS and ISO 14001:2015 accreditations and support ISO 9001:2015 certification.
• Investigate accidents, reduce risk and review risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Develop policies, procedures and documentation to meet statutory and certification requirements.
• Promote energy‑saving initiatives and implement efficient resource use.
• Lead and attend health & safety, environmental and head‑office meetings.
• Provide additional training and compliance support as required.

Required profile

• Pro‑active, logical and forward‑thinking with strong customer focus.
• Flexible working hours and willingness to travel across the region.
• Self‑motivated, confident communicator able to engage at all organisational levels.
• Ability to take full responsibility for tasks and build positive relationships.

Required skills

• Experience in the cleaning sector.
• Health & safety qualifications such as IOSH.
• Knowledge of CHAS, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
• Competence in risk assessment and accident investigation.
