Human Resources Business Partner

About the role

This varied, full‑time position sits at the heart of a growing educational organisation, supporting schools in attracting, retaining and developing talent. Reporting to the Director of HR, you will deliver a professional, people‑focused service across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on employment law, HR policies and employee‑relations matters, managing cases such as maternity and absence.
• Lead recruitment and onboarding across several school sites, from job adverts to pre‑employment checks and induction.
• Maintain accurate HR systems and employee records, ensuring GDPR compliance and safeguarding oversight.
• Produce workforce data, reports and insights to aid strategic decision‑making.
• Support performance management, staff development, wellbeing and absence initiatives.

Required profile

• CIPD Level 5 qualification.
• Proven experience managing a broad range of HR and employee‑relations issues.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
• Excellent communication, relationship‑building and independent workload‑management skills.
