Human Resources Generalist

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Human Resources Generalist to join our Kidlington office. In this full‑time position you will support employees and managers across a wide range of HR topics, ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Support employees with HR matters such as leaves of absence, benefits, and compensation, escalating issues when needed.
• Recruit, interview, and hire qualified candidates in partnership with hiring managers.
• Enhance job satisfaction through issue resolution, new perks, and team‑building activities.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and employment laws; develop and implement new policies.
• Track and document compliance programs, including training and certifications.
• Oversee employee orientation, initial paperwork, background checks, and eligibility verification.
• Administer HR programs covering compensation, benefits, leave, and disciplinary matters.
• Handle employment‑related inquiries and refer complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Participate in disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
• Assist with annual performance reviews and maintain employee records in line with regulations.
