Humanities Teacher – Geography & History (Full/Part Time)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a co‑educational grammar school and sixth form in South East London. The role involves delivering Geography and History lessons to students from Key Stage 3 through to Key Stage 5, with the flexibility to work part‑time or full‑time on a permanent basis.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Geography and History curriculum for KS3‑KS5.
• Assess student progress, provide feedback and support individual learning needs.
• Contribute to the development of the school's humanities department and collaborate with colleagues.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development and school events.
• Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding and safeguarding policies.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or an overseas equivalent.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Current, clear Enhanced DBS check.
• Experience teaching Humanities in UK schools, either as a newly qualified teacher or an experienced practitioner.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the UK Geography and History curricula.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for a range of abilities.
• Effective classroom management and communication skills.
