About the role
We are seeking a passionate Humanities teacher to join a forward‑thinking secondary school in Woking. The successful candidate will help create an engaging learning environment where students develop critical thinking and a genuine interest in Humanities across Key Stages 3, 4 and, for experienced staff, Key Stage 5.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, well‑structured Humanities lessons for KS3 and KS4.
- Provide optional KS5 instruction for suitably experienced teachers.
- Maintain excellent classroom management and foster a supportive atmosphere.
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to achieve the best outcomes.
Required profile
- Hold UK QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching Humanities in a secondary school setting.
- Ability to deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to high standards and student success.
