About the role
A secondary school in Essex is seeking a qualified Humanities Teacher to join its department on a temporary, full‑time basis from September 2026. You will teach KS3 and KS4 students, delivering engaging lessons that develop critical thinking and analytical skills.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Humanities lessons for KS3 and KS4, ensuring they are engaging and curriculum‑aligned.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and record outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of the Humanities curriculum and enrichment activities.
- Collaborate with department colleagues and support whole‑school initiatives.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Humanities at KS3/KS4, either as an Early Career Teacher or an experienced teacher.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire students.
Required skills
- Effective lesson planning and delivery.
- Student assessment and data analysis.
- Use of educational technology to enhance learning.
