HVAC Project Engineer – Bristol

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Project Engineer to lead technically complex installation projects across the South of the UK. You will own projects from design and planning through installation, commissioning and hand‑over while acting as the key technical liaison for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage HVAC installation projects from design through commissioning and hand‑over.
• Develop project programmes, schedules and deliverables aligned with customer requirements.
• Coordinate internal technicians, installation teams, subcontractors and other trades throughout delivery.
• Monitor site progress, inspect installation quality and resolve technical issues.
• Control project budgets, labour, material and subcontractor costs while identifying cost‑saving opportunities.
• Identify and manage project risks, changes and scope variations.

Required profile

• Strong technical experience in HVAC, refrigeration, air‑conditioning or related building‑services engineering.
• Proven experience delivering or managing HVAC installation projects from design to commissioning.
• Relevant mechanical or HVAC qualifications, or equivalent vocational training combined with project experience.
• Experience coordinating engineers, technicians and multiple trades.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, variations and subcontractor expenditure.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.
