Hybrid Cloud Enterprise Architect (Remote, UK)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the Target Operating Model analysis for a major government department’s Move‑to‑Cloud programme. The role is remote within the UK, with fortnightly travel to client offices in London, Manchester or Newcastle.

Key responsibilities

• Define and design hybrid cloud solutions that integrate on‑premises infrastructure with AWS, Azure and Google Cloud services.
• Create detailed architecture diagrams, component models and technology stacks for multi‑cloud environments.
• Lead the requirements analysis phase for the Target Operating Model and cloud migration strategy.
• Design secure connectivity solutions such as VPNs, Direct Connect and VPN Gateways.
• Manage and optimise on‑premises virtualization, storage and networking resources.
• Implement automation using tools like Ansible, Puppet and Chef.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of residency in the UK.
• Proven experience as an Enterprise or Operations Architect in hybrid‑cloud projects.
• Strong understanding of cloud‑native services, serverless computing and managed services.
• Ability to work independently and travel to client sites as required.
