Hybrid Electric Automotive Lecturer

About the role

The Hybrid Electric Automotive Lecturer will join the curriculum team within the Technical Centre, delivering specialist training in electric and hybrid vehicle technologies. This part‑time position focuses on improving student outcomes, supporting commercial training programmes and strengthening employer partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Electric Vehicle (EV) and Hybrid commercial training courses and bootcamps, including occasional evening sessions.
• Design and develop bespoke training solutions for employers and individual learners.
• Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to meet commercial growth targets.
• Partner with the Lead Tutor for curriculum innovation in EV, hydrogen and emerging technologies.
• Build and maintain relationships with local and national employers to expand provision.
• Monitor learner progress, intervene where needed and contribute to quality improvement processes.

Required profile

• Relevant vocational qualifications and current industry experience in the motor‑vehicle sector.
• Demonstrated ability to support learners to achieve their full potential.
• Understanding of sector skill demands and ability to translate them into curriculum.
• Experience using performance measures and learner achievement data for continuous improvement.

What we offer

• Salary £28,273 – £42,655 pro‑rata per annum.
• Market premium of up to £5,000 pro‑rata per annum, reviewed annually.
• Part‑time contract of 18.5 hours per week.
