Hybrid Nurse Functional Assessor (WCA)

About the role

As a Nurse Functional Assessor (WCA) at Maximus you will use your clinical expertise to assess how disabilities or health conditions impact daily living. The role involves working on complex cases across physical, mental health and chronic pain, providing compassionate support to help customers move forward.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct functional assessments for customers with physical and mental health conditions.
• Analyse how health conditions affect daily activities and produce detailed reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop appropriate recommendations.
• Participate in a tailored training programme and ongoing mentorship.

Required profile

• Valid NMC registration.
• Minimum 1 year post‑registration experience in adult or mental health nursing, within or outside the NHS.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
