Hygiene Manager – Fixed‑Term (Potential Permanent)

About the role

We are partnering with a leading food manufacturing business in South Wales to recruit a Hygiene Manager for their Caerphilly site. The role starts on a fixed‑term contract but offers a strong prospect of becoming permanent for the right candidate, providing long‑term career growth in a high‑performing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the hygiene team, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and food‑safety standards.
• Drive continuous improvement of hygiene performance through KPI monitoring.
• Manage CIP systems and all related documentation for routine and deep‑cleaning activities.
• Collaborate with Production, Technical, Engineering and senior leadership to meet operational targets.
• Plan labour and resources efficiently to control costs.
• Maintain positive employee relations by applying company policies consistently.

Required profile

• Proven hygiene leadership experience within food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of food‑safety regulations, audits and hygiene standards.
• Experience managing cleaning schedules and CIP systems.
• Excellent people‑management and communication abilities.
• Proactive approach to continuous improvement.
