Hygiene Service Technician

About the role

Rentokil is looking for a Specialist Hygiene Technician to join its Croydon team, covering South West and South East London. The role involves delivering a wide range of hygiene and cleaning services to commercial and institutional premises, with full training provided.

Key responsibilities

• Perform reactive cleaning tasks such as bio‑hazard removal, flood water damage cleanup, infection control, and crime‑scene decontamination.
• Carry out specialised cleaning including high‑level work, silo cleaning, and factory cleans.
• Work on an on‑call rota, receiving enhanced rates for out‑of‑hours work.
• Provide customers with expert advice and maintain a professional image at all times.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence held for at least two years with no more than six penalty points.
• Self‑motivated, reliable, proactive and able to work independently.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Flexibility to adapt working patterns to business needs.
• Capability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• May need to pass a DBS check depending on the assignment.
