Hygiene Service Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Hygiene Service Technician to join our Croydon team, delivering a wide range of cleaning and decontamination services across South West and South East London. The role involves responding to customer calls, managing your own schedule and providing professional, on‑site solutions to bio‑hazard, flood, infection‑control and specialised cleaning tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Perform reactive cleaning assignments including bio‑hazard, flood water damage, infection control, police and prison cell cleaning, sharps removal and crime‑scene remediation.
• Carry out technical cleaning such as high‑level work, silo cleaning and factory cleans, following comprehensive training.
• Work as part of an on‑call rota, with enhanced rates for out‑of‑hours work.
• Provide customers with advice and maintain a professional image at all times.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence held for at least two years (≤6 penalty points).
• Self‑motivated, reliable and proactive with excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility to work varied patterns and ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check where required.

Required skills

• Valid driving licence.
