Hygiene Service Technician – Specialist

About the role

Rentokil is seeking a Specialist Hygiene Technician for its Croydon branch, covering South West and South East London. No prior experience is required as comprehensive training will be provided, allowing you to manage your own schedule and solve unique customer problems on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a range of hygiene cleaning services including biohazard cleaning, flood water damage cleanup, infection control, police and prison cell cleaning, sharps removal, trauma and crime scene cleaning, factory cleans, high‑level and silo cleaning.
• Work reactively in a fast‑paced environment, adapting to changing weekly assignments.
• Participate in an on‑call rota and respond to service calls as needed.
• Offer expert advice to customers and maintain a professional image at all times.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence held for more than two years with no more than six penalty points.
• Self‑motivated, reliable, proactive and able to work independently.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work varying patterns to support business needs.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check where required.

• Competitive salary starting at £26,655 per annum plus a £2,000 yearly allowance, with OTE around £35,000+.
