IAG Advisor – Careers Guidance

About the role

The IAG Advisor will provide one‑to‑one and group careers guidance to adults, helping them identify suitable employment sectors and develop the skills needed for training or further qualifications. You will act as a supportive coach, motivating individuals to overcome personal barriers and achieve their career goals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of clients, delivering personalised advice on career pathways.
• Identify appropriate sectors of employment and signpost relevant training or qualifications.
• Conduct CV writing workshops, interview technique sessions, and general career guidance.
• Develop and monitor individual career skills action plans.
• Support clients in overcoming barriers to training and employment.
• Complete all required paperwork in line with compliance and quality standards.

Required profile

• Hold, or be willing to work towards, an IAG qualification.
• Proven experience providing careers advice to adults or in a customer‑facing advisory role such as recruitment.
• Engaging personality with the ability to motivate and encourage individuals facing diverse barriers.

What we offer

• Salary between £27,000 and £30,500 per year, dependent on experience and qualifications.
• Excellent holiday entitlement and pension scheme.
• Permanent, full‑time position based in a centre in Lancashire.
