Ice Skating Coach – Learn to Skate Programme

About the role

GLL is seeking enthusiastic Ice Skating Coaches to deliver its Learn to Skate programme at the new Cambridge Ice Arena. You will work with participants of all ages and abilities, helping them develop confidence and skill on the ice.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver skating lessons in line with the BIS 1‑8 Skate UK curriculum.
• Set up, inspect, and maintain equipment for each session.
• Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs of arena equipment.
• Provide a safe, supportive environment that encourages learners to progress and overcome fears.

Required profile

• Hold a NISA Level 2 qualification.
• Experience delivering the BIS 1‑8 Skate UK programme or a solid working knowledge of it.
• Demonstrated reliability, punctuality and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ice‑skating teaching techniques and safety standards.
• Ability to conduct equipment inspections and basic repairs.
