ICT Consultant – School IT Support

About the role

Turn IT On is seeking an ICT Consultant to provide dedicated IT support for a school in the Reading area. You will maintain hardware and services across multiple sites, helping the school improve its ICT provision and deliver effective teaching and learning.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and repair school computer equipment, iPads, printers, telephones, scanners, projectors, PA and AV lecterns.
• Install and update software and networking applications across the school network.
• Provide first‑line and second‑line technical support to staff and students.
• Resolve technical issues that affect school operations promptly and efficiently.
• Communicate with the school to keep them informed about available services and manage their accounts.
• Identify and propose improvements to the school’s ICT services.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in an ICT Technician or 2nd‑line support role, preferably in education.
• Passionate about technology and delivering excellent customer service.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and organisational skills, able to explain technical issues in plain language.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a courteous, professional manner.
