ICT Firstline Technician

About the role

We are seeking a confident, customer‑focused ICT professional to join Wimbledon High School as a Firstline Technician. You will be the first point of contact for staff and students, ensuring that the school’s technology runs smoothly and that issues are resolved quickly and professionally.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and resolve help‑desk tickets using a service‑desk or ticketing system.
• Diagnose and repair hardware and software faults on Windows and Apple devices.
• Install, configure and upgrade computers, printers, phones and network‑enabled equipment.
• Support audio‑visual equipment for assemblies, events and guest speakers.
• Perform routine maintenance, equipment repairs and documentation of ICT services.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering customer‑focused ICT support in an educational or similar environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands.
• Logical, independent working style with the confidence to escalate complex issues.
• Attention to detail and a solutions‑oriented attitude.
