ICT Manager – School IT Services

About the role

We are looking for an experienced ICT Manager to lead the delivery and management of IT services for a school in Reading. The role involves overseeing the school's ICT infrastructure, ensuring it supports both teaching and administrative functions, and collaborating closely with school leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the school's network infrastructure and ICT systems.
• Maintain switches, servers (virtual and physical), Microsoft 365 and backup solutions.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support.
• Oversee daily IT operations and handle support requests.
• Line‑manage ICT support staff.
• Deliver technical support and training to teaching and administrative staff.
• Produce service updates and reports for key stakeholders.

Required profile

• 2–3+ years experience as an IT Manager, Network Manager or Senior ICT Engineer within a school environment.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, servers, networking and backups.
• Experience upgrading school IT infrastructure.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
