ICT Security Lead

About the role

The ICT Security Lead will sit within the IT team and own the Group’s security strategy. Reporting to the Head of IT, the role will shape and drive security excellence across the organisation, particularly for defence contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Manage UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) security frameworks and Defence Cyber Protection Partnership (DCPP) requirements.
• Develop and implement cloud security strategy for native AWS and Azure environments.
• Lead risk assessments, accreditation processes and prepare security cases for defence contracts.
• Engage with MOD accreditors, internal product teams and executive leadership to ensure compliance.
• Define security excellence, set measurable objectives and drive continuous improvement.

• Self‑starter with ability to take ownership and shape a new function.
• Proactive challenger of the status‑quo with a fresh perspective on cloud security.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, especially with defence authorities.
• Ability to establish measurable objectives and drive continuous improvement.
