ICT Support Engineer

About the role

As an ICT Support Engineer you will join the DDaT team at IOPC, providing day‑to‑day support to the police complaints system across multiple offices. The role combines business‑as‑usual service delivery with project rollout and administration of ICT processes such as starters, movers, leavers and service requests.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a rigorous service delivery management regime with ICT suppliers, ensuring contracted service levels are met.
• Analyse existing processes and develop improvements using Continual Service Improvement (CSI) principles.
• Report faults and incidents through the ITSM tool and manage their resolution.
• Carry out Installations, Moves, and Changes (IMACS) for desktop equipment.
• Process ICT service requests in line with governance procedures.
• Collaborate with outsourced ICT providers to resolve incidents, manage break‑fix arrangements and support stock maintenance.
• Assist with desktop refresh and change projects, including user acceptance testing and cut‑over activities.
• Administer access for starters, movers and leavers to corporate applications, file stores and mailboxes.
• Provide ad‑hoc activities to ensure overall ICT resilience.

Required profile

• Ability to work closely with internal stakeholders such as HR, Finance, FM and Investigation Support Units.
• Willingness to travel to designated offices (Canary Wharf, Croydon and other locations) following hybrid working policies.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external suppliers.
