ICT Technician – 1st/2nd Line Support (Leeds)

About the role

We are seeking an ICT Technician to provide 1st and 2nd line support for a busy Managed Service Provider serving schools around Leeds. You will act as the primary onsite contact, ensuring that hardware, software and network services run smoothly for staff and students.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main onsite point of contact for IT, delivering responsive 1st/2nd line support.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues on desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, projectors and AV equipment.
• Install, configure and upgrade hardware and software across the school network.
• Maintain core systems with a focus on Microsoft Office 365 and commonly used education applications.
• Work proactively with stakeholders to identify improvements in ICT provision.
• Communicate technical solutions clearly to non‑technical users.

Required profile

• Experience in a similar ICT Technician or 1st/2nd line engineer role, preferably within an education MSP or school environment.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Windows operating systems.
• Good understanding of common user applications and networked systems.
• Confident troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills with a customer‑first approach.
