Identity & Workplace Platforms Team Lead

About the role

The Identity & Workplace Platforms Team Lead will drive operational leadership and continuous improvement of critical identity and workplace technology services for the Post Office. Working in a hybrid model, you will shape a newly established team, embed governance, and ensure secure, stable delivery of services that support colleagues and business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership and delivery assurance for Identity and Workplace services.
• Collaborate with engineering, Cyber Security, Architecture, Service Operations and third‑party suppliers.
• Oversee the delivery and operation of Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft Identity Manager, Group Policy, Exchange, Universal Print and supporting server operating systems.
• Define ways of working, embed governance and operational best practice.
• Lead, mentor and support a team of engineers to ensure stability, security and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Strong people‑leadership experience in a large enterprise environment.
• Proven background in identity, workplace and Microsoft technologies.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and drive service improvements.
• Experience shaping new teams, defining processes and embedding governance.
