IFA Administrator/Trainee Paraplanner

About the role

We are seeking an IFA Administrator/Trainee Paraplanner to join a well‑regarded financial planner in Amersham. The position blends administrative support with paraplanning duties and requires strong analytical abilities.

Key responsibilities

• Handle client queries and record all communications in clear English.
• Collect and collate client data in line with KYC principles and ensure compliance documentation is complete.
• Work with the Financial Adviser to discuss client objectives and compile financial reports.
• Liaise with product providers and third parties to obtain necessary information for client assessments.
• Assist in identifying planning areas, preparing tax calculations, and sourcing suitable solutions.
• Prepare suitability letters, reports, and accompanying documentation for adviser approval.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in financial planning services administration.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Good communication and people skills; able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to analyse data and follow defined business processes.

Required skills

• Strong IT skills
• IHT (Inheritance Tax) experience
