IFA Support Team Leader – Hybrid (Wilmslow)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Independent Financial Advice (IFA) professional to lead a team of IFA Administrators who support Financial Advisers across multiple locations. This hybrid role (minimum three days in the office) sits within a growing wealth‑management business that values people development, client service and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of IFA Administrators across several offices.
• Allocate workflow to meet service levels and deadlines consistently.
• Conduct regular one‑to‑one meetings, performance reviews and coaching sessions.
• Produce and analyse management information to monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Drive operational efficiency and support business improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members.
• Build strong relationships with Financial Advisers and key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an Independent Financial Advice, wealth management or financial planning environment.
• Proven experience leading and developing teams of IFA Administrators or support staff.
• Strong understanding of financial planning administration processes, provider platforms and industry regulations.
• Experience managing workloads, service standards and performance metrics.
• Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proactive attitude with a passion for continuous improvement.
