Import Freight Account Manager

About the role

The Import Freight Account Manager will join a fast‑growing forwarder at Heathrow, acting as a key member of the operations team. You will manage import shipments from initial booking through to final delivery, ensuring customers receive safe, on‑time service across all transport modes.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate worldwide multimodal imports, meeting strict deadlines and liaising with overseas agents, airlines, transport providers and customers.
• Maintain strong client relationships, understand requirements and deliver high‑quality customer service.
• Prepare and process import documentation, submit customs entries using ASM Sequoia.
• Generate quotations, price proposals and invoice clients accurately.
• Collaborate with shippers, importers, agents and internal supply‑chain teams to ensure smooth delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years experience in end‑to‑end air freight imports.
• Hands‑on experience with customs entry procedures.
• Excellent telephone manner and strong English communication skills.
• Commercial awareness and ability to build lasting customer relationships.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the ASM Sequoia customs entry system.

What we offer

• Base salary £35‑40k negotiable, dependent on experience.
• Monday‑Friday 09:00‑17:30 schedule with some flexibility.
