Import Operator

About the role

We are looking for an Import Operator to join our new UK operation in Chelmsford. You will be responsible for the smooth, compliant and efficient handling of inbound LCL ocean shipments, supporting freight forwarders and logistics partners across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full import cycle for less‑than‑container‑load (LCL) shipments, from arrival to delivery.
• Ensure all import documentation complies with UK customs and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain strong relationships with carriers, agents and internal teams to guarantee timely processing.
• Monitor shipment status and resolve any issues that could affect delivery schedules.
• Uphold the company’s standards for operational precision and reliability.

Required profile

• Proven experience in import operations or freight forwarding.
• Detail‑oriented and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality service to customers.
