Improvement Support Officer – Primary Care

About the role

The Improvement Support Officer will work within the Primary Care Team of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde to drive service transformation across Inverclyde. This role focuses on delivering improvement projects, supporting redesign initiatives and analysing data to inform decision‑making, all while collaborating with a wide range of health and social care professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate multiple improvement projects, ensuring delivery within agreed timescales and outcomes.
• Support service redesign, policy implementation and improvement initiatives aligned to national and local priorities.
• Analyse complex data, produce reports and present findings to inform decision making and service development.
• Facilitate collaboration and engagement across services, stakeholders and partner organisations.
• Develop and maintain monitoring systems, audits and performance‑tracking tools.
• Lead or support engagement activities with staff, patients and service users to inform improvements.
• Build effective working relationships across multidisciplinary teams and external partners to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in business administration, project management or a related discipline.
• Experience applying project management techniques and supporting service improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data management, reporting and interpretation.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with digital systems for data and content management.
