In-House Legal Counsel - Private Client

About the role

We are seeking an In‑House Legal Counsel to join our private client team, focusing on estate planning and wills supervision. The role offers flexible working hours, with the option to work remotely or from our Greater Manchester office.

Key responsibilities

• Support an experienced team of solicitors and technical professionals in the preparation and review of wills, trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA).
• Provide quality‑assurance checks to ensure all documentation complies with legal and regulatory standards.
• Offer technical feedback and guidance to colleagues to meet clients’ estate‑planning objectives.
• Maintain accurate records and liaise with the wider estate‑planning team on case progress.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor, CILEX, STEP or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of estate planning, wills writing and tax planning.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What we offer

• Salary range £30,001 – £45,000 per year.
• Flexible working: full‑time (37.5 hrs) or part‑time (minimum 22.5 hrs).
